The successful candidate will have: -A California Administrative Services Credential -A Master's Degree, Doctorate preferred -Successful teaching and administrative experience -Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment -Three years of increasingly responsible management experience including labor relations -Knowledge of students with special needs and applicable laws, polices, and procedures -Knowledge of facilities, transportation, and maintenance

          Knightsen Elementary School District is located in a culturally rich small farming community in eastern Contra Costa County. The district is comprised of two elementary schools, Knightsen Elementary (TK-8) and Old River Elementary (TK-7). Duties and Responsibilities -Serves as district superintendent and a site principal -Advises the Board on policies and makes policy recommendations -Reports periodically on all district operations to the Board -Provides the Board with evaluations of the district programs and student progress -Negotiates for the district -Directs the employment, assignment, evaluation, and discipline of subordinate staff -Coordinates interdistrict transfer process and enrollment projections -Directs LCAP stakeholder input meetings -Completes all required state reports
