The cabinet-level position has responsibility for the district departments related to facilities including maintenance, operations and school planning and construction. This position works closely with department directors, site managers and district administrators to achieve goals determined by the board of trustees related to facilities. This position is responsible for the oversight of the department managers who ensure daily operations are coordinated, smooth, and efficient, and carried out in a positive work environment. This position works with managers of other departments including instruction, human resources, finance and technology and must have strong collaboration and communication skills. This position represents the district’s interests by monitoring work done by contractors on special projects and school construction.
