To organize and direct all human resources activities of the district, including but not limited to recruitment, staffing and salary placement for employees; discipline and evaluation, as well as retirement and benefits programs. To provide technical human resources support to all district sites, divisions, and departments, as well as any charter schools affiliated with the district. To provide administrative and technical staff support to the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources.

          QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: Principles and practices of organization, administration and personnel management in a public secondary school district, including recruitment, selection, supervision, training and performance evaluation; Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations including personnel administrative rules and regulations applicable to certificated employees; Employer-employee relations, collective bargaining process, and contract administration; General school district policies, rules and regulations; Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration; Computer applications related to area(s) of specialization. Ability to: Plan, organize, and conduct sound interviews, workshops and a variety of meetings; Select, supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff; Implement the use of computer programs pertinent to area(s) of specialization; Learn, interpret and correctly apply district policies, rules, and regulations; Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals; Interpret, apply and communicate applicable federal, state and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations; assist in carry out the district policy and procedures; Assist in preparing and administering a division budget; Effectively analyze and interpret data and prepare and present oral and written reports and finding to a diverse audience; effectively represent the school district; Establish and maintain cooperative professional working relationships in the performance of position responsibilities. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education or human resources, or a related field. Master's degree is desired. Experience: Three years of successful human resources experience in a public school system, with a minimum of one year managerial experience.
